Actor
After having been a scientist all her adult life, Vee discovered acting in 2012, after her retirement. TV credits include GLOW, Anger Management and Criminal Minds.
Vee played the lead role in the short film, HALWA, which she also executive produced. The film went on to win HBO’s Asia Pacific American Visionaries Award.
Her second short film, YATRA: The Journey, garnered many accolades and had a successful participation in film festivals.
Vee produced and performed in the ensemble production, Yoni Ki Kahaniya (Vagina Stories), at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2023. The show took home the Best Drama Award.
Late Sunday Afternoon, Early Sunday Evening, was Vee's second show to produce and star in at Hollywood Fringe. The play, written by the late Jean Lenox Toddie, explores the relationship between a grandmother and her granddaughter, and how coming into one's own doesn't just happen when you're young.
Vee continues to create work that showcase authentic voices of South Asian women on stage, film and TV.
